The take over of Hetero Dyn Inc. by an African consortium had gone smoothly. At least so far. As Gary often told his wife Stacey at every breakfast before heading off to work these days.

“I’m pretty much in limbo,” the youthful 30 year old brown hair, blue eyed executive explained further, “they can’t pension me off because I’m too young, and they’re still unsure of which lower echelon personel to let go altogether without toppling everything asshole over teakettle in the process.”

“So where does this leave us, honey?” Asked the five years younger svelt, yet extremely buxom strawberry blond beauty right out of a Bay Watch sequeal.

“Well, I’m not really sure,” Gary replied finishing up his breakfast, “there is a position opening up, in fact it’s a vice presidency, and I have all of the qualifications for the job, as well as the experiance.”

“Then you think you’ve got a chance?”

“I didn’t say that,” he chuckled, and not with just a touch of sarcasm either, “I told you. Most of the new upper echelon people are very dark, in fact they’re either black men, or light complected women for the most part. I’m neither black, nor a woman, as you well know. I’m just very good at my job. I’ve put out a couple of feeler’s to other companies though, just the same, in case this doesn’t pan out for us.”
